Revenga Smart Solutions (RSS) has landed on the Slovak transport market in the hands of Cintra, the Ferrovial tenders subsidiary. The company specialising in comprehensive solutions for the transport, telecommunications and security sectors will be responsible for the development and installation of all transport telecommunications systems (ITS) on the Bratislava D4 and R7 motorway.
RSS will deploy video surveillance systems and automatic detection of incidents, heavy transport gantries, data collection systems, vertical signage and variable information systems.
According to the experts consulted, Ferrovial's commission has been allocated a budget of 15 million euros. "We are very pleased to be able to work on a key infrastructure for Slovakia," says Eduardo Bonet, transport director of RSS.
The new corridor, which Ferrovial was awarded in 2016, will be operated under an availability payment system. The investment budget for this ring of 60 kilometres amounts to around 1 billion euros. The aim of the bypass is to relieve traffic pressure on the current access and transit roads in Bratislava.
Revenga Smart Solutions (RSS) has boosted its presence in the sector of technologies associated with the world of transport, with contracting worth 25 million in 2018.
